It'll take 6 minutes out of your life to listen to this young environmentalist's speech...and it's worth every second of it. She tells us in no uncertain terms that we have no right to tell our children that everything will be alright when we put them to bed at night, that whatever the specific problem is at that time that we say, "it's not the end of the world" about - she calls us liars. And she's right. I know kids can be idealistic and unrealistic, but she is very articulate and intelligent and she deserves our attention. So, grab a beverage, and if you're feeling guilty about the amount of energy you use, your gas guzzling SUV or your hairspray's revenge on our ozone layer...you might want to make it a stiff double. (I'm as guilty as anyone...but trying to be better and make conscious choices)
